Overcome Anxiety from people pleasing

Welcome to a place where you, as a professional can find the support you need to overcome anxiety, and break free from the shackles of ‘people-pleasing’.

If you hold back for fear of upsetting people, there's very likely a stronger, freer version of you waiting to speak up.

This shows up often in professionals, and often in men too, the instinct to smooth things over, keep the peace, avoid rocking the boat, even when it costs you your own needs. Over time, it can mean you're never quite seen or appreciated for what you actually bring.

As a psychotherapist, I help people turn this pattern around, trading self-doubt and quiet frustration for real confidence and a voice that's genuinely yours.

Keeping the peace does has a cost, it can quietly dilute who you are and hide what you actually stand for. If your partner, or someone you love tells you someone upset them, it's tempting to say "just ignore it" or "they didn't mean any harm", but those responses tend to fall flat and create distance. What lands better, and is often surprisingly simple, is something like "I can see you're upset, how can I help in future?"

Sometimes just acknowledging their pain is enough.  Together, we'll get to the root of it, and build the boundaries and assertiveness that let you show up fully, without the anxiety that used to hold you back Nothing you bring is too small, the things that feel "petty" are often exactly where the breakthrough happens.

Sessions are confidential, so you can speak freely and find your voice Ready for a change? Get in touch, use the form below to arrange a free 15-minute call.
